Joe Schlosser, Senior Vice President, Communications

Joe Schlosser was named Senior Vice President, Communications, Endemol Shine North America, in March 2015. Schlosser currently oversees all corporate, consumer and internal communications, as well as talent relations and events coordination for the Los Angeles-based TV production company.

Schlosser oversees publicity efforts for all of Endemol Shine North America’s various TV series, including “Big Brother,” “The Biggest Loser,” “MasterChef,” “MasterChef Junior,” “Hell on Wheels,” “Kingdom” and many other top cable, broadcast and digital programs.

Prior to joining Endemol Shine North America, Schlosser was Senior Vice President, Communications for Shine America. He first joined Shine America in May 2012, overseeing all corporate and consumer communications efforts for the U.S. division of the Shine Group.

Previously, Schlosser spent 10 years with NBCUniversal in various top communications roles, including his last as Senior Vice President, NBC Entertainment Television Publicity, from November 2009-November 2012.He also oversaw all communications efforts for NBC Universal’s Television, DVD and Consumer Products Group.

Before joining NBC Entertainment, Schlosser served as Senior Vice President, Communications, NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. There he was responsible for all internal and external communications for the division, including consumer publicity efforts for first-run syndicated series including "Deal or No Deal," "The Martha Stewart Show," "Access Hollywood," "Maury," "The Chris Matthews Show" and a handful of other series.

From May 2004 to July 2006, Schlosser was Senior Vice President, Communications, NBC Universal Television Distribution, overseeing communications efforts for all domestic and international television distribution endeavors.

He joined NBC Universal from NBC Enterprises, where he served as Vice President, Publicity, from October 2002 through May 2004. While at NBC Enterprises, he oversaw all publicity activities for NBC’s in-house domestic syndication unit and its international endeavors, including foreign sales of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Will and Grace."

Schlosser began his career in communications as Vice President of Communications for The Hallmark Channel in Studio City, Ca. While at Hallmark, Schlosser oversaw a staff of seven communications professionals, while leading all publicity efforts for the emerging cable network.

Prior to working in communications, Schlosser was Los Angeles Bureau Chief for television trade publication Broadcasting & Cable. He was responsible for all network, cable and syndication coverage for the magazine. For the past 10 years, Schlosser has taught "Working with the Media," an annual course offered through UCLA Extension.

He holds a Master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Southern California. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Stacey, and children Ivy, Mia and Noah.
